What does this mean? Work on cabinet

[link to this post]

Looked on roadworks.org and it seems BT are doing some work next month on or near my cabinet that lasts for a few week. Anyone know what this might mean?

Install 10m of 4 poly ducts in Carriageway,Install 10m of 4 poly ducts in Footway,Provide, Renew or...

Not sure whats after the "or..." as the website doesnt give more details. We already have FTTC installed and enabled on the cab

Seems they have started doing some works yesterday, and as it happens the availability checker is now showing as "waiting list" for fibre, so guess they're building or increasing capacity for fibre

Seems you were right. A new fibre cab shell has been erected near the current one. Quite small tho compared to the other

Work on cabinet (update - work that isnt work)

[re: bobble_bob] [link to this post]

Update on the lack of progress installing a 2nd fibre cab. The works are due to finish tomorrow according to roadworks.org, and so far little has been done in the 2 week work window. This is what is meant to have been completed:

Install 10m of 4 poly ducts in Carriageway,Install 10m of 4 poly ducts in Footway,Provide, Renew or...

Day 1 of the works last month and some barriers appeared, day 2 and a 2nd fibre cab was erected and a workman was messing about with some cables near fibre cab 1. There was also a chalk mark between fibre cab 1 and 2 labelled "BT", which I guess is where the fibre cables are going to be laid. Since then nothing has been done and no one has visited the site. Seeing as nothing has happened so far today, and the works are meant to finish tomorrow im guessing they wont.

No excavation work has been done at all between the PCP and both fibre cabinets. So is it possible to install poly ducts without digging up the roads? And if not and the work hasn't been done, there any reason why it hasn't?

We had a new large cab installed next to the old large one 3 month ago and nothing has happened since. roadworks keeps showing work to be done but it never happens. Its now showing the same work for the end of this month, so will see if it happens then. not that i care as i have my connection. Just saying it can tyake time

Some new work plans appeared on roadworks.org, due to start next week for 2 days

1 ,Install 3m of 2 poly ducts in Footway,Provide 2 core drill(s) into jointbox or building...

Im guessing that is for the fibre cables to the new cab?
