Whats this on my cabinet?

Linky

In the last month we had a 2nd fibre cab installed, although i dont believe its live yet. Then today this appeared next to the PCP. Is this to add extra space for the cabling for the 2nd fibre cab?

Note that the vents indicate it is probably a Nokia G.fast pod

Plan is down from 10 million to 5.7 million and with around a million live there is clearly a lot more pods to deliver

The FTTP plan increase from 2 million to 3 million premises

but that is not a fibre cabinet, so it could just be a extension cabinet.

G.Fast pods are attached to PCP cabs, not to FTTC cabs.

And PCP extensions for adding more space for copper do not have the door with vents.

Huawei pods have vents at top and bottom, Nokia just have the bottom vent

wink Though you did say in your first post in the thread "No vents indicate it is probably a Nokia G.fast pod".

I didn't check the photo previously, and it does indeed have just bottom vents, so your statement that it is a Nokia G.Fast pod was correct smile. Despite the quote here.
