Odd sync speed issue

[link to this post]

Occasionally every 3-4 weeks i may need to reboot my router if the wifi is playing up. Ive always got around 9500kbps (im on adsl2+), however ive noticed that when i do i sync around 7400kbps. I can reboot and still get this sync. However, if i use the phone then try and sync, i get my normal 9500kbps sync back.

Is there a reason for this?

Small amount of extra current cleans a bit of oxidisation from a joint or plug and you get a better metal to metal connection for a while

Would this suggest the joint is failing then? I dont have any other issues, errors are low and no random disconnects

It may be, it may not.

The joint might even just be the plug for the microfilter into the BT socket.
