I'm on Stourbridge OpenReach P44 cabinet (using Kitz site to find that info) but can't find where the actual cabinet is located.
There are 2 cabs on the brow of the hill on Parkfield Road but have been told that they both belong to VM.
Does anyone know of a site with a map of cabinet locations?

As easy one for me, as we've spent years building our cabinet database

Yes, https://www.telecom-tariffs.co.uk/codelook.htm?xid=4...
Run your cursor over the green dots on map & the cab nos show up. It's near the junction of A458 with St. Johns Rd.

MrS has included a photo which looks correct but doesn't correlate with XRaySpeX 's site which shows the cabinet at the other end of the road. Maybe it's indicative.
I'll take a wander later today.

The Codelook site does not show the actual cabinet location just a general Postcode area. I would say that the Google map image is adequate evidence of the true location.
|
|
|
I tried using that CodeLook link and it gave the middle of my postcode. I dont have a landline, but supplied the first 7 digits of all around me and my old one, plus the postcode.
The cabinet is about quarter of a mile away from the postcode centre, on a different road altogether.
The photo has to be right.

A photo of the location has to win.
Codelook is doing approximate positions, hence why I don't use it in case anyone was thinking that.

See if you can find my cabinet 8 (there are no photo online of my cabinet via google) hard to find it.

I doubt there is one publically available as it's not on streetview

Im confused with your response here. Mr S posted a Street View image, you can clearly see the number 44 on the image. Why do you need to take a wander? Hes answered your question.

Well nobody knows where the cabinet will be from one day to the next at the moment!

Seems a bit of a shirty statement.
I hadn't appreciated there were numbers on the cabinets so hadn't zoomed in. There may have been another cabinet at the other end of the street.

It wasnt just directed at you. There were other people who continued to speculate when the question had been clearly and concisely answered.

Assuming one can view the image. No number is shown so that's what was confusing me.

The large cabinet ought to have a visible number. It is the PCP.
The small cabinet on the left is the fibre cabinet. Fibre cabinets do not have numbers. Most people simply associate them with their partner PCP, as it is still the PCP that supplies the combined service to the end user.

I repeat my previous link
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@52.456649,-2.1425295,...
As you can see the 44 in that image is an older style cabinet, that has subsequently being replaced, it may be the stencil figure is now on the side or they've forgotten. The reshell that has been done does not change it from being number 44, and is either to give more working space in the cabinet or a prelude to a Gfast pod appearing.

I only look at the Google Maps image. Which does show 44.
Its the same cabinet and still PCP 44, its just had a re-shell for tie pairs.

That's what MrS stated 5 days ago.

Im confirming what Mr S said and that its definitely for tie pairs.

As an update.
The exact same cabinet was replaced last week and there is now a large new tarmac area under the cabinet.
