Not sure how to proceed here. On Saturday placed an order with BT, I had no sooner placed the order until I got an email from my current ISP saying sorry you're leaving etc and made me an offer to stay.
So I decided to take them up on the offer but I had to phone BT to cancel, so phoned BT to cancel on Sunday, it would be 24hrs for the line to clear or something so Talk Talk could do my new offer.
Now Wednesday line still not clear, still says they have a BT order processing, And this is the best bit. BT can no longer find any details for this account or order, apparently, the order did not go through correctly initially, the order number didn't work, neither did phone number address or anything, couldn't find any details.
Talk Talk just send me back to BT and back and forth we go. Any ideas what to do?

Is your TalkTalk service changing from ADSL2+ to FTTC then? i.e. did they actually say they'd change the underlying service?

Has the rule changed about the losing provider not being allowed to make a counter-offer then, Andrew? (I have a feeling it has, but .)
It makes no difference to the current problem on this order though.

No both on FTTC, The way it worked was I was out of contract with Talk Talk, I took up a BT offer, Talk Talk sent me an email saying about an offer so phoned them up and it was a decent offer, the same service just quite a bit cheaper, so phoned BT to cancel the order and that where we're at now

Okay should no nothing for TalkTalk to do order wise then, just needs BT to cancel the migration
It is possible the TalkTalk computers have you flagged as migrating still and there is no override option to say you are staying and to shift you onto price point ABC. That is an internal systems thing for TalkTalk.

Would you believe this is still dragging on, It has been canceled twice by Talk Talk and its failed both time and they really don't know why, It may be an excuse but they told me they have been having quite a few issues like this over the past week and are blaming something with the network.
