So this is what our (EO) cabinet has looked like for the last month or so after a vehicle hit it, water leaks into it and neighbours on the same cabinet have seen worsening speeds, yet others not on it have remained stable. the door was actually fully open most of last week during heavy rain. Any idea why there would be a delay or how long it could take, what is the process of replacing FTTC circuits, downtime etc. Anyone I can contact for updates?
The replacement cabinet was put alongside fairly quickly after the damage.

Confusing post and pictures.
The one with the red guards looks rather like an FTTC cabinet, the other one is the PCP (phone cabinet), and if your line is EO then there would be no cabinets at all.
There is no such thing as an EO cabinet.

Im FTTC via an Exchange located cabinet, number 20. The damaged one is number 20, outside the exchange. Half of my street is supplied by a cabinet less than 100m from their houses underground, I am supplied by 20 by overhead post. This pic is from the front of the exchange 500m away crow flies from my house.
But granted it does look like a PCP. Doesnt explain everyones speed dropping and the new FTTC cabinet apearing next to it.

Still confusing.
If the red-guarded cab is brand new since the accident then it could be an AIO, (All in one), to replace the PCP (it doesn't look like a PCP, it is a PCP). It's hard to tell from that distorted camera angle, but I suspect it is just a replacement FTTC one. However if that PCP is cabinet 20 and it didn't have FTTC before then you can't be on FTTC from it.
Or is the new one where there was an FTTC cabinet previously? If so it is odd that you still have an FTTC service as that new one is clearly not yet in use.
Are you sure you haven't dropped back to ADSL2+?
We could do with some router stats and the name of the exchange. There are people here (not me) who would then know what was going on.

The FTTC cabinet will be on a list of damaged cabinets that need replacing (reshells), but unless it's either dangerous or completely out of service it won't be a top priority.
The best course of action is to ensure everyone who believes their connection has deteriorated contact their provider and raise a fault. If there are a significant number of faults attributed to the damage it will prioritise the reshell process.

Should have a proper jointer's tent over it. Wet cabinet assemblies is a bad thing.

There was one down the road here that had been hit, it got fixed a couple of weeks ago, but it was damaged for over 18 months, not as bad as the one you posted, but the cover had been knocked backwards, so the whole cabinet was slanting backwards.
i thought i had a photo of it, but i can not find it, so maybe i did not take a photo of it/.
it may have been more than 18 months, in fact I am pretty sure it was, because my Dad died a couple of years back and it was broken before then,
unless the cabinet have a problem in that it is not working, BTOR don't seem to rush to fix them.

If the cabinet that zyborg47 is referring to is the one I think it is, just after it was replaced it had an extension added. So probably only replaced because OR had to...

These are my line stats, Vodafone Superfast2. Used to get far higher speeds.

Looks like both cabinets are damaged, seems the house adjacent to it, the householder either reversed or failed to put a handbrake on. And a car hit between the two cabinets. Both cabinets are still covered and still damaged.

Get the faults raised. Once it's recorded as service affecting it will expedite the repair process if that is the cause.
Not knowing who was responsible may also hinder the speed of repair as they can't recover the costs, but if the damage becomes service affecting it becomes a priority
