Does my line look good so far? hoping for a speed increase.

I upgraded from Zen UL fibre 1 to UL fibre 2 On the 3rd of Sept.

Here are the DSL stats for my line according to the BT checker, they are a little bit out of date as regards the maximum observed downstream:

https://prntscr.com/p6sjm9

The line is about 570m long, depending whether you take that from the Fritzbox or a BTO engineer a while back who said it was 600m.

During training or whatever the line reset itself on the 10th of sept at 1:06.Here is the data from my Fritzbox 7530 now on Mon 16th sept.

https://prnt.sc/p6sjio

The sync rate on my line is capped at 42172Mbps with a maximum download rate 40820Mbps. This my line data is from Zen's website:

https://prnt.sc/p6sjf7

So my maximum throughput ceiling is just over 4Mbps. A lot of the lower sync speeds you see historically were due to my really poor quality and fast failing Technicolor tg589vn router. Which I may ceremonially hack to pieces with an axe laugh

My Broadband Speed Test

Does all of this look OK to you? I hate to ask the cliched question, but how long do you think until the DLM allows the line sync cap to increase?

Do you think it would be advisable to give it a brief reset at this time, to see if the speed jumps, or should I leave it. It hasn't had a mains reset in about 10 days when I had to shift my plugs around. The fritzbox used to report this:

https://prnt.sc/p30s0k

That is from the 7th September.

Thanks,

Tyger.

Looking at the stats I'm not convinced your line is capped, it appears to be running as fast as it currently can. If you are 600m from the cabinet then you aren't likely to get much more anyway. The BT ADSL checker data looks to be on the high side for that length of line.

Based on your SNR I don't think you will see any increase. The question is whether there is anything either in your house or in the network that could be optimised to give you a bit more speed but it is quite possible there isn't anything more you can squeeze out of the line.

Check your extension wiring, and try plugging direct in the test socket if you have extensions to see what effect they are having. (Don't change sockets too frequently)

You should get more as the upstream is poor compared to the BT Checker and the downstream is at the low end of what should be expected.
