understanding adsl box activity logs

[link to this post]

Hi

My tv is often flashing up message 'your a not connected to the internet' followed by 'you are now connected to the internet'

Browsing often seems to hit pause, sometimes saying 'no longer connected to internet'

The activity log in sky adsl box says this:

Is this normal, or is log showing constant dropping of sync?

In reply to a post by jamese8:
Nov 18 08:12:36 syslog: [473798.880000] eth1 (Int switch port: 6) (Logical Port: 6) Link UP 100 mbps full duplex
Nov 18 08:13:09 syslog: [473831.101000] eth1 (Int switch port: 6) (Logical Port: 6) Link DOWN.
I thought these messages were associated with the inward facing ethernet port(s) rather than the ADSL service itself, someone else may be able to confirm.

There seems to be a sky outage this morning affecting some customers:

Yes a LAN port is flapping around, nothing to do with the ADSL side

Pluging the cable to the TV into a different port on the router and unpluging and repluging in the ethernet cable into TV could be step 1.
