Virginmedia Broadband drops intermittently

[link to this post]

I live in EH107HH postcode and have VirginMedia super hub with 100mb. The signal is generally good but several times per day it seems to ďdropĒ and we lose the connection for a couple of minutes. I want to try to establish why. I want initially to ďmonitorĒ the connection and if I have proof of the service dropping I will take this up with Virginmedia. Speaking to local friends the same seems to happen to them. The timing of the drops seems to be random. Thanks

All instructions are on the page.

Hi Thanks, I should have said that I had just done this ahead of posting my thread. How will connection drops show on this?

Have a look at the monitor next time your connection has returned after dropping and you might get a clue.

Big red lines will show when the BQM couldn't contact the router. However, the super hub sometimes has a habit of not responding even when the connection is up.

Which connection do you lose? How do you tell? From a computer (PC or Mac) or from a tablet or smartphone?
If a computer, is this connected by Ethernet cable, or by WiFi ?

VirginMedia 200/20 (22 Nov 19). Was FTTC for 7 years (55/12 to 46/5)
20 years of broadband connectivity since 1999 trial - Live BQM

Itís mainly that all equipment, Smart tvís, iPads, iPhones etc canít get online and lose their connection. Often the Virginmedia hub still has a green light on the front of it. I have a few devices via Ethernet but most are wireless - all donít work when the connection seems dropped or down.
