Weirdness with BT wholesale broadband checker

[link to this post]

I am looking to move for work purposes and was checking out a new property on the market this evening. Of course broadband is very important to me so a check on the broadband is one of the first things I do.

I put the postcode in the BT wholesale checker address checker and select the property from the address list and it says that only ADSL is on offer, but it comes via a cabinet frown No option of paying for FTTPoD if I really like the property (I figure you just work it into the price you are willing to offer just like any other work that might need doing eg. new kitchen etc.). Anyway that's strange because I was sure that all the cabinets in the area where FTTC enabled; I checked last year, so my understand was even if it was to far from the cabinet for VDSL it should still offer me FTTPoD.

So I head over to codelook and sure enough it thinks the cabinet has been accepting FTTC orders since June 2017. Hum that's weird.

Wondering what is going on I head back to the BT Wholesale checker and note down the UPRN for the address, then head over to the telephone number checker and do the UPRN check.

Now it gets really weird because this brings up VDSL results (yeah) and the option of FTTPoD and also the bad news of a waiting list frown But what the heck this is the UPRN I got from the drop down list for the property from the address checker. Surely they should be giving the same results?

Now thoroughly weirded out I do the address checker again and boom it now gives me the same results as the the UPRN search. I am now like whisky tango foxtrot!!!

Has anyone else ever experienced anything similar in the past?
