Errored Seconds question...

[link to this post]

Hello folks!

Its my first post, (didnt find any introductary pages, so ill jump right in with the questions)

im having quite the time with Plusnet at the moment. trying to get them to look at a fault (which depending on who you ask there both is and isnt a fault) - present lockdown situation accepted, but this has been ongoing since january.

the problem - Multiple disconnections per day, random, all times of the day and night, sometimes a few in an hour then stable for 24hrs. Did everything my end to check, including new router ( put OpenWrt on a spare, as it has a lot more avaliable info) and have had 3 engineers come and visit. all three found faults, but never investigated further.

i keep looking at the line stats from my router and there are a lot of Severely errored seconds - the line from my house to the DSLAM is approx 320m

i have searched for some answers, but i wonder if with the information above someone could give me a clue? noise margin looks very low for a line of that length. (if i have read the information correctly, and am not being aan idiot) any other information you could tell me would be fantastic.

Thanks!
John
