Looking at above, most seem to be for fibre and 18 month contracts.
I thought Now TV, were part of Sky, but their offer does appear onnthe Sky offers page.
I just want a basic adsl 12 month contract to replace my current Shell service.
Plusnet were doing one but that seems to be an 18 month contract now, so the £50 card is worth a third less.
Any idea if Sky, Now TV or Plusnet are planning any basic offers? The basic service from Shell is OK, but like most of these communications companys actually communicating with them is a nightmre.
Plusnet still seem to be having problems with their website and ignore my emails, so Sky/Now TV is my preferred supplier based on previous contracts.

NOWTV is essentially Sky but a different brand,

Similarly, Plusnet are part of BT. EE are part of BT. Smarty is part of Three.
AEG is part of Electrolux. Zanussi is part of Electrolux.
Persil in the UK is part of Unilever. (Though the brand name belongs to Henkel).

Why don't you go for the NowTV ADSL2+ deal for £18 per month, 12 month contract?
Includes anytime UK landline calls and SkyWifi hotspot access. I don't think you'll find anything much cheaper, especially with calls included.

These days since Vodafone entered the market, FTTC is often not much more expensive than ADSL which benefits those close enough to a cabinet to get a good signal.

Yes: looks the best deal ATM, but I don't use the phone, so I'd prefer a 12 month Plusnet contract, if they do one soon and they sort their website out.

I don't think the OP can make the links work properly. I 'm not sure where it fails, but I just had a quick play and got through to the checkout page without any problems.
To the OP, not sure if plusnet will go back to 12 month contracts, most providers seem to be drifting the other way. NowTV are one of the few large providers that offer 12 month contracts with low/zero up front cost. I think plusnet are still doing the £50 reward cards on the £17.99 ADSL deal, but it's 18 month. You pays your money, and you takes your choice!
If you can't get the links to work, I would turn off adblocking and/or try another browser?
edit: Cross posted with you hk11. Is it worth trying another device?

Quite possibly because the web page no longer exists. What do you see if you go direct to the Plusnet site rather than use a third party link?
|
|
https://webmail.plus.net still works fine, so it is definitely offer related. Do you have another link I could try?

Would you try phoning Plusnet? I can't get my accounts to display on Firefox and anyway they were looking a 15% price increase on renewal so I phoned to arrange a better deal. Had to wait 13 mins for reply, staff working from home using VOIP. Very pleasant guy gave me a 12-month fixed price contract at present rate to tie in with my line rental, otherwise it's 18 months. Recently received couple of emails advising me of price increases shortly, so they can catch me for these in 12 months' time ... but it's excellent value and service.
Edited to add: Just seen MCM's comment below. The 'BUY NOW' bit.ly link does not work, the MORE INFO button does work, and clicking the ORDER BB NOW FROM PN button takes me to PN's signup site.

I was able to use the TBB Plusnet ADSL links using both Firefox and Chrome. In both cases I ended up on the Plusnet site with their offer of ADSL for £17.99pm plus £50 reward card and 18 month contract. I'm not sure that I should post the url of the affiliate link on the Plusnet site.

It amazes me that these companies must spend thousands advertising these deals then when you try and take up the offer you end up having to use the dog and bone! Perhaps they should spend some of the income on getting their website to work before they advertise?

I suspect your issue is browser related but the current offers on Plusnet are here for 12 months.

Currently fibre is cheaper then ADSL for 12 months. Looks like no current offer with a card.

Don't blame Plusnet. I suggest you need to look a lot closer to home for the cause of your problems..

That you can post to this forum is totally irrelevant. You are the only one experiencing problems when following the links which strongly suggests that you most likely either have a configuration problem with your PC/laptop/phone or are running blocking software.

Cookie consent is a required legal basis under the GDPR for websites to have in order to be able to collect, process or share the personal data of individuals inside the EU.
It also gives the customers a choice what cookies to set / store etc.

Andrew says that Plusnet switch between 12 and 18 month contracts, so I will just have to wait and see if they continue to do that; assuming I can even load their web page(s) of course.
Why are things so complicated? How does the average user cope, when companies like Plusnet ignore customers?

My point is some sites seem to manage to handle this without causing too many problems where as others don't. Newspaper sites seem to be a general example: refusing to let customers see any of the site without completing the cookie consent. I for one just close the page and Google for an alternative.

I asked that because the page that the tbb links go to tell you to do that if already with them. (Which I found after suggesting it could be a cookie problem, and realising my question was therefor3 irrelevant).

I doubt it. My apologies.
I think I getting mixed up through tiredness. I was mistakenly thinking just now that you were currently with them and just wanting to get a new deal at the end of the minimum term.
The fact remains though that like many others I have no problem with the reduced link or the full one in Andrew's post, or reduced one on the tbb offers page. The reduced one taking a bit longer to load the target page, perhaps because of having to retrieve the full version.

I've been unable to replicate the error you are getting with the affiliate link from Andrew's offers page, I can get right through to the checkout page.
When do you get the error, is it the first page you see after clicking through to plusnet? If it is, I would suspect some sort of device level tracking blocking as suggested earlier.

The "Order broadband now from Plusnet" button on the tbb site also works. At least, it takes me to Plusnet which then does the cookie request then asks for phone number and postcode. (Using iPad on iOS13.6).

Believe issue is around TLS/SSL and an old version of iOS ]Does the OP have any third party filters added to the Safari browser? I also asked in the plusnet forum thread.
HTTP and HTTPS context switching for referrer's may have issues on the latest Safari, and MS Edge, and Firefox on desktops. HSTS might help, but generally switching mode is bad news.
