Laptop Internet via RJ45 Cable

[link to this post]

So I use my laptop to connect by wi-fi to the net.
Does anyone know what I have to change in Windows 10 to enable me to run this from a wired connection for better security and speed.
Cheers

Nothing

You turn off the wireless adaptor on the computer and plug in the ethernet cable.

That is assuming it has a Ethernet Port on it, I know most modern ones do.
But if not the OP can just buy an Ethernet Adapter Gigabit Network to USB device.
