Site down?

Is kitz.co.uk down for everyone or just me? nslookup cant find it on Cloudfare.

What DNS server are you using Bill?

The IDNet ones that were assigned when the router logged in.

Works with 8.8.8.8 too, just tried it.

Looks like Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) is having a moment or my Talk Talk router is. Everything else is working.

Down for everyone? says it's up too...

This is with a router reboot and Workflow turned off. (Workflow is TTBs virus detection) looks like it is Cloudflare on TTB for some reason. If it were the router why would all other sites work?

No idea what the #53 means, but seems likely...

Changed to TTB DNS Servers and all working. There is a thread on Kitz with people getting intermittent connectivity to the site so have put my 2p in about 1.1.1.1. Thanks for the confirmation Bill.

Of course with these IP addresses such as 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8 you will be connected to a local copy, which may be a UK or Europe data centre with a lot of servers that can respond. Quite easily one of those servers has had a problem, and eventually it has been detected, and removed from responding, so others take up the response.

"hyper scale" they like to call this, systems of the scale of sites like Facebook, which are available everywhere in the world at the same time. Very different IT engineering to that which most IT professionals get involved with.
