Three PAYG price hike

After holding its 1-2-3 PAYG pricing for at least eight years Three makes up for lost time next month with a massive price hike. From 3p/min for calls the rate more than trebles to 10p, text goes up fivefold from 2p to 10p, and data goes from 1p to 5p/MB.

PAYG is still popular with older people who don't use their mobiles much and seldom for data at all. Some of our community group prefer landline reliability because their mobile signals can be erratic indoors. In fairness to 3 eight years is a very long time to hold prices.
