Broadband connection is consistently jittering

Hi all,

I've been having issues with my broadband for months now - I'm with Sky. Both myself and my partner are big gamers and we're noticing that, roughly every 5 minutes, our ping spikes to insane levels and stays there for a minute or two. For general internet use, this isn't the end of the world but it makes any sort of fast paced multiplayer unplayable. I've posted on Sky's forums and they all seem at a loss. Has anyone got any idea on how we can tackle this? We've tried wiring our connection, no change, and pretty much every other commonly suggested idea.

Hi Caul,

As you have said this issue occurs on a wired connection, then I would say it's either congestion or a line fault. Are you able to post the line stats from the router you're using (I assume a Sky Hub)?
