Cabinet fault checker ?

[link to this post]

Hi.
My FTTC is having an issue and I've been told it's possibly something wrong with the cabinet.

Is there anyway I can check this online ?
I'm curious to see what's happening.

Thanks

It depends what you mean by an issue.
Much of the time when it's something at the cabinet affecting your line, it's your specific port that's the issue. It won't be affecting anyone else and there isn't anywhere it will be listed as a fault.

Zen have a service status checker that can often show faults in a particular area.
You could enter your number and see if anything pops up.

https://status.zen.co.uk/broadband/

There's a few FTTC cabinets listed as having issues with faults ranging from multiple faulty ports to PCP's being struck in an RTC.

Thanks for the reply,

The checker didn't show any issues, but the local community group on facebook had lots of similar reports covering a wide area and multiple cabinets.

All sorted now, came back on about 19:30 smile

Thanks
