Hi folks
This week a load of spray markings have appeared on pavements and roads where OR ducts are located. They consist of a circle with a plus sign, and the letters JM. They're absolutely everywhere around the streets where I live, by most footway boxes, particularly around cabs, and there are also some in the road where ducts cross underneath. They've also sprayed lines to show which way the ducts run into the footway boxes.
There's nothing on one.network that I can see. Does anyone have any idea what they might mean? Here's a photo of one: https://ibb.co/KsbMYHH

Maybe J for junction?
Just a guess.
BT FTTP - Halo 1 Fibre 250.

I'm guessing by the user name, you are in Derby?
If so, it could be City Fibre as they are busy cabling large chunks of Derby and in a lot of places using PIA and others I have noticed they are digging in their own duct.

I'm actually slightly north of Derby, so not Cityfibre unfortunately.

I never got to the bottom of what these markings were, but over the last few days I've seen two blokes going round in hi viz vests taking photos of every pole and inside every footway box. Fibre rollout surveying maybe? Can't see a company name on them, but they don't look like Openreach.

Why did you not ask them what they were doing !.

Some folks, rightly, feel a bit weird about accosting people as they work.
They were clearly inspecting chambers and poles for use in FTTP rollout.

As you get older you get over that.

How far North? Cityfibre is available in Allestree, for example. But maybe that counts as inside the city limits.

I've now found out that it was Full Fibre Ltd / Fibre Heroes surveying for their rollout. It was announced publicly last September, but I along with everyone I know locally had not heard about it before.
How do they operate then? I understand they use Openreach poles like Cityfibre do, but do they
put in their own cabinets and other infrastructure?
