I have been a customer of IDNet for 16 years so you would think that by now they would know what my invalid credentials are and ignore them 😇
I think you misunderstand. What IDNet are saying is that something has repeatedly tried to access your mail account using invalid credentials (eg; the wrong password). That's not something that should just be ignored any more than you would ignore repeated attempts by someone to force your front door. In this case the invalid logins are coming from your network so the server keeps temporarily blocking your IP address to reduce the frequency of what it sees as attacks in an attempt to limit the risk.
The most likely cause of this is that you have changed your account password recently but only did so on one device - or only did so using the web portal and didn't update Outlook. My Dad used to do that a lot. He had a PC and a laptop and for a while he had Windows Mail set up as well as Thunderbird. That meant if he changed his account password he had to update two email clients on two computers or risk being locked out.
Changing a password is like changing the lock on a door. Everyone who had a (valid!) copy of the previous key needs to be given a new one. It's not an automatic process.
