Fibre ducting being put in.

[link to this post]

Comex 2000 are putting ducting in for fibre in openreach chanels. When I asked who it was for they said Openreach and it's got Openreach on the barriers. On the One.network site it states that Virgin are responisble for application. On bidb site it also say's Virgin One of the streets near is closed but no mention of this on any site.I'm Confused but it does not take a lot to confuse me.

It seems it,s not comex 2000 putting fibre in. I have yet to find out who it is. Still say,s Virgin working in the street when they are not.

I have recently seen Openreach-branded engineers pulling fibre through ducts, where the fibre cable itself was clearly labelled as property of Virgin.

Also remember that both Openreach and Virgin have leased line networks to business customers, so any fibre works you see by them are not necessarily for FTTP.

Virgin now use Openreach PIA and have been known to install the fibre distribution points on both BT/Openreach poles and also their UG chambers. They will even utilise the Openreach grey 50mm duct that serves the property itself to run their final blown fibre tube to the outside wall of a property if needs be.

Telnet are just pulling the fibre cable in Openreach ducting for Openreach. We already have Virgin cabled. with a 1 G service available. There is not any hardware being put on the poles yet so it looks like a long wait for Openreach fibre to arrive.
