ADSL2+ - VDSL2: Reduced stability

[link to this post]

Is this common or at least readily explainable?

I upgraded from ADSL2+ to FTTC toward the end of last year. I enjoy great speeds of up to 79.5 mbps which is the best I could wish for.

On ADSL2+ my line almost never dropped and usually only time I was out of synch with the exchange was when I unplugged the router in the event of a bad thunderstorm. My line could be up for six months or longer.

Since moving to FTTC my line tends to lose synch very briefly about every 5-14 days, though I have managed about 50 days. The issue seems to be caused by a brief high packet loss even when nobody is active online.

Is this a problem in waiting or nowt to worry about?

Thanks in advance.
