DOWNLOAD SPEED. BROWSER PROBLEMS

I normally use CHROME BROWSER, always updated to the latest version.
I am on V.M. cable 135
I have been having problems with download speed, the test on T.B. showing ridiculous low speeds.
Also showed low speeds on SAMKNOWS REALSPEED

I have installed FIREFOX, and everything is back to normal.

Any one else having problems with CHROME BROWSER?

I don't use Chrome (as I dislike Google), but others have reported that the browser includes a VPN that has been turning itself on. Perhaps check for this.

If you are on Windows you have Edge which is very very similar to Chrome as both come from the same original software (Chromium).

This is not an internet or isp issue rather than your install of the Chrome browser as you said firefox works normally. Every browser works differently and plugins can cause a browser install and or profile to become unstable. Did you try a new profile and see if that resolves it. Please do not put wording in caps like that a) its very very hard to read and b) its deemed in forum etiquette as shouting ..

Titles in posts are not headlines on newspapers. No caps required, it doesn't help those whom use screen reading software, and is actually harder to read.

Firefox, chrome browser etc, are not titles; they are names of software products.

On Linux desktop PC and a new Gigabyte i7 gaming laptop with windows. The TB speedtest is about 100 or 200 Mbits slower on chrome compared to firefox. It never used to be like that, but is now for me.

In the past for long time, I've always noticed the TB speedtest works better using a guest profile on chrome browser.

I use Brave which is chromium based privacy fork so all of the benefits of that but without any of the Google stuff.
I've had no issues getting 1gbit in the browser tests.

I have it on Mac, Windows, Linux and IOS.
