Bridge Mode, Dynamic IP, and PPPoE Setup: Compatibility and

I need some guidance regarding my home network setup, particularly about the compatibility and optimization between my modem and mesh router system.

1. Current Setup:
• Modem: Türk Telekom DX3300-T1 VDSL2 Modem (Wi-Fi 6).
• Operating Mode: Modem/Router
• DHCP: Enabled
• UPnP: Enabled
• Firewall: Enabled (IPv4 and IPv6)
• IPv6: Enabled (Dynamic IP)
• NAT: Configured with a maximum NAT session of 20480.
• MTU: 1492
• Mesh System: TP-Link Deco X60 (AX5400, 2-pack)
• Operating Mode: Router (Dynamic IP)
• DHCP: Enabled
• IPv6: Enabled (Dynamic IP)
• MTU: 1500
• HomeShield and UPnP: Enabled

2. Internet Connection:
• ISP: Türk Telekom (VDSL)
• Connection Type: Dynamic IP (no static IP assigned by the ISP)
• Speed Test Results (from Deco App):
• Download: ~100 Mbps
• Upload: ~20 Mbps

3. Questions:
1. Bridge Mode Compatibility:
• If I switch the modem to bridge mode and use the Deco system in PPPoE mode, will this configuration be fully compatible with Türk Telekom’s infrastructure?
• My ISP uses a dynamic IP setup. Will there be any issues with PPPoE over dynamic IP?
2. General Stability and Performance:
• My primary goal is a “set and forget” system. I want the best speed, minimal disconnections, seamless roaming between Deco units, and optimal mesh performance without needing future adjustments. Would keeping the modem in router mode while using Deco as a secondary router with dynamic IP offer better stability than bridge mode and PPPoE?
3. AP Mode Preference:
• I do not wish to use Deco in AP mode, as I want full functionality of the Deco system, including parental controls, QoS, and its firewall capabilities. Would this preference impact the network’s overall performance with the modem in either router or bridge mode?

Re wireless, if you want to use the Deco for wireless, turn off wireless on the Turk Telecom DX3300 [is this a rebranded zyxel?]

Re routing, you could run both the Turk Telecom and the Deco as routers and double route, but there would be no benefit and it is not in line with your aims of simplicity. If you can run the Turk Telecom as a modem, then do so. PPPoE picks up the IP address it is given and if you are running it from the Deco, then the Deco takes the IP address for its public interface from the modem. Turn off DHCP on the Turk Telecom and ensure it is enabled on the Deco. [nb there is a problem of how do you access the Turk Telecom unit set up once it is in modem mode. I have no answer for that]
