Website Check Request

[link to this post]

Could someone please see if the following web site is reachable: https://manly16s.com.au/

Just want to check whether others can see it OK before reporting it to our ISP.

I get no response to that URL. Without the .au I get a page which has the text, "Manly 16s Hosts the National Championships 7th-14th January. For all the relevant info please visit https://manly16s.com.au" on it but the link doesn't work.

Thanks for checking. I hadn't thought of trying it with the .com suffix, but that doesn't look like the full web site TBH.

Works fine for me. DNS propagation looks fine.

The website doesn't seem to be fully populated though - https://manly16s.com.au/meetourfleet/ is blank for instance (beyond a title)

Wonder where that leaves us. Peering issue?

Pinging the URL resolves to an ISP address, so something is being blocked somewhere.

First time DNS took forever.. so probably why it's got some issues.
On another note, Manly is a nice beach.. less tourists than Bondi and kinda fun to talk from the ferry over to there.. great place for some food.. even if a bit ovepriced wink

Many thanks to everyone for their checks. Apologies for not responding earlier, but I've been away from home a few days.

I have been in touch with Aquiss and it isn't an ISP issue as the support team can connect to the web site.

I have tried a second router and also a direct PPOE connection to the ONT and both have failed to connect to the web site and neither have resulted in any notable change to the traceroutes (other than the router hop on the PPOE connection).

My phone also fails to connect via the EE network.

If anybody has any ideas what I can so to try and diagnose the problem, I would be really grateful.

Aquiss have changed my IP address, which has allowed me to access the site. It looks like a case of blocked IP address, which is what Martin suspected.

It sure is, was there a few months back. The ferry is cheaper than a train ticket to London
Admittedly it was a bit "sharky" when I walked over to Shelly beach. Guess its starting to warm up, looks like its a high of 35°C Wednesday

Many Thanks,
