Hi im using IE6 on XP and when i have been browsing web pages for a while it becomes very sluggish, when i look in the task manager at the process bit it is using about 175250K memory compared to about 25000K when first openening it. Is it just i need to enlarge the cache size or something if so how do i do it.

I noticed i posted this in the wrong forum (had a few open at the same time)
Didn't like Firefox, tried it for a while but couldn't see what all the hype was about. Didn't render pages any faster - has tabbed browsing but i make do with IE file/new window/
I have heard IE7 has a issues with some kinds of web site and i see know reason to been using IE6 happily for years - keep it patched and i have hard firewall , software firewall and good AV
No just seems to be after i have been browsing web for a while, thats why i thought it might be something to do with the cache.
When i clear out all the directories and open it up again ist ok untill i have visited a few sites and becomes sluggish again.
Theres no spyware or virus as i have just done a thresh install of everything last week and all my firewall and AV are up to day aswell as ad-adware and search and destroy.
Perhaps you actually need to *reduce* the size of your cache. OK, a huge cache will reduce the amount of stuff you actually need to fetch but at the cost of searching the cache every time.
