New Laptop

Hi all,

I need advice on buying a new laptop. My budget is £400 max. Will be using it for offie applications, internet and general use.

i have a dell laptop, but the nice thing about the website is you can add/subtract parts of the laptop as you go through

if you just take the recommended settings there is nothing wrong with that (if you dont know what the inner components actually do) but for your use, £400 should do it, the only thing you probably need to work out is screen size, base your budget on that

just look at the website, see something you like and go from there

then, base the stats for the pc you see on dell and have a look around for something similar if you like, somewhere might have a deal on something close (eg tesco, currys, dixons etc) but if no deals out there you would still be ok with dell

It's taking me a while to adapt to the keyboard layout and I miss their normal scroll button between the two main mouse buttons but it's a nippy little beast. It can play HD iPlayer streams without breaking into a sweat.
