Does Wii Wi-Fi support "WPA" wireless protocol please?

[link to this post]

I am thinking of buying Wii Gaming Console for my son's birthday next week. My daughter's laptop is wirelessly being connected to the O2 Wiressless Box2 through its "WPA" Encryption 54Mps and is working O.K. So does the Wii Integrated Wi-Fi adapter support "WPA" Encryption 54Mbps which enables it to be connected to my O2 Wirelessly 54Mbps for on-line plays without any hardware issues??
Thanks
(P.S: I know that 54Mbps wireless G-Standard is only a theoretical link-rate)

Thank for your "very speedy" reply! Does it mean the Wii, which I haven't bought it yet, has some kind of Menu or similar which prompts you to input your "WPA" protocol and its "Key" for joining my O2 Wireless Box 2??

Thanks

It will display the wireless networks and when you select yours it will ask for the password. The setting of protocol is all automatic so you won't need to set WPA/WPA2/whatever.

I just got my Wii thurs and it is setup on WPA-PSK (WPA2) just like my home network is smile
And its the the Wii settings - Internet - connections menu smile
I also had to go to the agreement/contract menu so I could use the internet channel/Wii shop channel smile
But one of the 2 manuals tells you how to set it up wink
