Belinea LCD monitor

[link to this post]

Hi,
My monitor has started flickering dim and then bright. Started about 2 months ago but was so intermittent it didnt worry me. Its now getting progressively worse that its in/out light/dark every 5 - 10 seconds which makes screen work very hard and frustrating frown

I have checked all cables/plugs, they are all in tight so I'm wondering if this means the screen is on its way out?

Does anybody have any ideas at all pls?

It sounds like the cold-cathode back-light is on its way out. You might be able to get a computer repair shop to replace it.

Thanks for that Mick, we have one up the road, I might just give them a call and get a quote smile

Much appreciated smile

You would be much better off getting a new monitor.

You can get one as cheap as £70 these days

Yep, never worth fixing an LCD. Stick it on Ebay and get a new one.
