Toshiba laptops normally have a switch to turn the wifi on/off.

If not look for an ebable button in the Device Manager.

N.B. Bad form to SHOUT on these forums.

HI. SORRY DID NOT MEAN ANY OFFENCE. FIRST TIME ON FORUM. THANKS FOR RESPONSE. COULD NOT LOCATE SWITCH BUT FUNCTION BUTTON SHOWS A WIRELESS ICON BUT WHEN PRESSED DOS NOT ACTIVATE. WOULD APPRECIATE ASSISTANCE AS NOT PARTICULARLY KNOWLEDGELABLE ON COMPUTERS. THANKS

Using all upper case is considered to be "shouting"... just type normally, as you would when typing a letter or an email.

Apart from anything else, it's easier to read that way.

are you actually pressing the function key plus one of the F keys?
i dont have a toshiba but many laptops are the same in this respect for turning it on/off

press and hold the fn button first its at the bottom left of your keyboard, then the button that shows the wireless, which normally is f8 hope this helps

Nice response but did you notice that someone already suggested that 20 months ago and it worked. Probably best to check the date of the last reply before posting as this was a very dead thread.
