Webcam without built in mic

Can anyone recommend a webcam that does not have a built in microphone

Definitely. A separate mic allows more accurate positioning

Why would you want one, more wires and all?? I have a cam with a built in mike and it works just fine. If you don't want to use the built in mike then just use a different one and set up your app to use the external mike. Simple really.

That's the best way imho - you won't go wrong with that.

Just remember to set Windows [or whatever] to not use the mic on the Webcam.

I got cheap Logitech, no internal mic on that, it works ok, depending on what you want it for.

I find internal microphones on webcams hit and miss. The main problem is that they either pick up too much noise or you got to get your mouth to the webcam for the person on the other end to hear you.

I got a clip mic that I use or a headphone with Mic depending on what I am doing.

Hi Adrian.I purchased one without mic.but on receipt it had a mic.in it-going back pronto.
I would appreciate it if you would give me details of the one you use.

you can disable the webcam mic in your computers audio settings and select a different mic if you have one connected.

i got this onefrom Argos, I got it mainly because it was cheap and because Logitech is pretty good.

Don't expect pin sharp quality, but it is good enough for what I use it for.

As have been said above, you can disable the mic, if this webcam I got had a mic I would have still got it, but just disable the mike in windows.
