Nvida 555M - 3D Vision

Question

Dell have an option to have a laptop with the 555M gpu with 3D enabled or disabled

£20 extra for enabled.

Can dell actually disable it in hardware?

If not how can i get it enabled

I ask as my brother got a new laptop from them with this gpu but chose the 3d disabled option

I'd imagine it has something to do with the display. 3D needs a 100hz refresh rate.

I thought it needed 120hz

We are trying to use the red/blue 3d not 3d steroscopioc

That's a different tech altogether isn't it?

nope, its part of the 3d vision driver
