Comments on this spec please from Ebuyer.

I'm impatient so require fast boot, so SSD is main disk, other storage on NAS drive on network.

Main usage just Email/Web/and light gaming, not hard core, although may get back into BF3 having been retired since my BF1942/Vietnam/BF2/Special forces days a few years ago.

Tend to keep a PC without upgrading for 3-4 years now so want it too last.

Hi, i have that motherboard, its brilliant, however i would suggest a more powerful PSU at least a 850watt 80+ bronze certified as capacitor aging will stick it to you after a year, i have G-Skill RIPJAW ram same specs, also good. as for CPU i7s are overly expensive and for your needs would be a waste of money. here are my specs i play BF3 max settings @1920x1080

Intel i5-2500K @ 4.3hz using Zalman CNPS9900 cooler as stock is poop
G-Skill RIPJAWS DDR3 1600 8GB kit
2 x HD6870 in crossfire mode
iCute 1000watt PSU 80+ silver certified
Using a standard SATA 6/GBsec HDD boots to windows in 20 seconds on a 6 month old install full of [censored]. but the motherboard supports Hybrid HDD so you can use a SSD to boost your SATA speeds. which is very usefull.

In my opinion i7s are only good for 2 things, 1. Video editing, 2. Bragging rights,

I use standby most of the time, I turn my computer off about once a month and start afresh, but apart from that I always put it into standby mode. windows 7 is far better at doing it than Windows Xp.
