graphics card?

Graphics on my desktop sometimes play silly beggars. Having ruled out overheating, I'm told that I need to replace the card.

There are so many on the market that I'm throughly confuzzled.Don't want a cheapie but neither do I want to spend unnecessary megabucks, which it wouold seem easy to do.

Existing card is 256mb ATI Radeon HD 3650.
The remaining config is:
Dell Studio with quad core Q8200 @ 2.33ghz (not used for gaming at all),
3gb DDR2 memory,
20" SP2009W Dell monitor with dvi-d and webcam,
640gb drive,
etc etc.

Still running under Vista and IEv9.

Do you know what motherboard you have got, just in case you can switch to onboard graphics?

Do you play games at all?

If not you can get graphics card with 1GB memory now for £25... they will all likely be much better than the existing one, and will run Aero fine.

Quick and cheap replacement would be something like the HD5450

This isn't a low profile card by any chance is it?
Can the installed PSU easily handle the extra needs of what may be a more power hungry card?
