Is this possible

I have an Ethernet connection through power line to my sky box. My question is can I put an adapter and connect another power line to a new device which I want to connect to my TV. Bearing in mind that only one device will be connected to the tv at a given time.The reason why I want to use an adapter is I am adviced that the power lines should be connected to free sockets only.

Rather than another Powerline device so close to the existing one, it would be better to use an Ethernet switch - either a standalone one, or one of the Powerline units with a built in switch, such as the Devolo Duo units.

Many thanks for your reply. As my current devices are Netgear, I shall get a netgear adapter. I was not aware that such adapters exist.
