Lenovo laptop mic problem

Tried calling my friend on Skype today, and it seems my Mic no longer seems to be working. My laptop is the Lenovo Flex 2 14. Any idea on how to fix it?

Make sure the microphone is set to microphone on the resulting screen. If it is working then the green line should be active (whistle or make a noise). Possibly make sure there is a tick against "Automatically adjust microphone settings".

After clicking on the Lenovo Smart Voice icon down in the the bottom right, and doing a 'Microphone volume test' it seems to pick up voice fine. Could it be a problem with Skype maybe.

UPDATE: Uninstalled Skype, and then reinstalled it. It seems to have sorted the problem.
