So it has been fine tonight and still happily playing a radio station since I changed frequency to 2.4ghz. I also sent feedback to Amazon.

Lets hope you can get it replaced (assuming it has a problem and not related to something external causing the issue) but if you can't hopefully this is an acceptable workaround.

That's the problem it is intermittent, it was ok for two days after a factory reset but it has responded ok this morning. Very strange.
