Cleaning a monitor

[link to this post]

All my monitors have been IPS/VA screens with an anti glare coating.

Cleaning them for me has always been as easy as some window cleaner and a cloth. Bam done. Never had any issues.

But now I own an OLED with a reflective coating and I know those like to degrade over time if not cleaned correctly.

Short term I have used some window cleaner on it a hand full of times but I don't want to keep doing that. Plus it leaves streaks.

I have tried just a paper towel and water and that also leaves marks and streaks behind.

How on earth is one supposed to get it clean?

Distilled water and a microfibre cloth. Be sure to let the screen cool down first.

I use autoglym glass spray (not fast glass or glass polish) aerosol on everything and it works fine. Don't go crazy but enough to wet the surface and reduce chances of any scratching from dust particles etc.
