Web Cam - advice please

[link to this post]

I have re-arragned my desk so I have my laptop with camera immediately in front, a large landscape monitor just above the laptop screen and a third screen in potrait mode off to one side.

When I am on a video call I will tend to look at the screen above the laptop, however, that gives others on the video link the impression that I am looking up into space rather than towards the camera currently in use - in the laptop.

So, I need a new seperate camera - probably 1080 reolution but could go more.Reading various reviews I find that one will say A is better than B and C is rubbish, the next site C is better than B then aother saying C better than A &c &c &c.

What do people have and how do you rate them? Any problems or issues? Cameras to avoid? - I'm loooking to spend £100-150 or so.

I looked at various Logitech and they all seem rather dated. Plus there are some good offers so I wonder if there are new ones about to be launched.

Two I have shortlisted: Insta360 Link-2C & OBSBOT Meet-2 both get good reviews and there seems little between them. Any experience of either?

Logitech c925e and its brilliant. better than the 1080p camera in my laptop.

For more money colleagues have bought 4K cameras, such as this, and there isn’t much difference at the other end of Teams/Zoom/Webex calls.

Dose your laptop have an nvidia RTX GPU?

If it does you could try that nvidia broadcast program. it has an eye contact feature to make it look like your looking at the camera, even if your not. Looks freaky lol
