Yeah for sure when you’re working on one of these types of board (for the first time!), you’re petrified of damaging the connectors; some are so small and fragile, that you can almost scupper the whole job by gripping / bending something slightly wrong way or the like. The way (some) manufacturers have approached the design of some of these things, is really assembled for one-time use and certainly not like a computer motherboard to be interchanged or swapped.
Personal computers, are becoming (well in some cases already become) almost “sealed for life” and non repair / replaceable devices nowadays. A long way from what I remember the industry to be back in the nineties when I began most of my tinkering and building with them.
