Thanks GonePostal, I will take a look and see if compatible with my NAS.

If it is not compatible (and depending on how many devices and of what format are backing up to your NAS) you may be able to back up from up to 5 devices direct to the Cloud storage, cutting out the middleman (which has a de-risking element as a bonus).

I don't store any files on my local devices everything is stored centrally on the NAS, my devices are effectively vanilla. My NAS has a number of business and non-business (include individual) shares mapped as drives which all need backing up so need the NAS to be compatible with the cloud storage provider. Makes rebuilding devices a lots easier. smile

Fred - interesting you say about backing up the CCTV, thats one thing I hadn't considered doing as it will significantly increase the required cloud space by over 10TB.

I only backup detected motion snapshots, triggered alarms and so on, I don't backup full streams. I delete old local copies and run the iDrive archive cleanup every month. This way it doesn't suck up the entire storage. For me it's manageable as long as I'm selective, but everyone's requirements are different smile

I run a 60 day rotation on my IP CCTV. I don’t bother to clog up my cloud storage with it.

That's why I only backup events. If someone breaks in and steals the NAS and my CCTV recordings, I'll still have the snapshots images and at least a few minutes of video up in the cloud.
Backing up everything would indeed be daft.

The Currys Cloud Backup allows you to install the software on one of the devices on the network and back up any drive picked up by the machine. We have a Synology NAS with various folders on the NAS mapped as drives on my machine. I can pick those folders in the settings as part of the Cloud back-up process for that device. That should enable me to back them up to the Cloud on a scheduled basis (although I haven't tried!).
