I recently had a very friendly Hyperoptic engineer install the service, with sharp 90 degree bends of the cable when going through the wall and around door frames (where the cable is visibly 'flatter'), in addition to softer 'internal' bends where there are distinct curves as opposed to 'folds'. I'd guess the total length from the socket to the front door is just over 15m, with (coincidentally) 15 bends.
I've read conflicting stories about just how safe it is to bend Cat5e cables, although the standard bend radius appears to be four times the diameter of the cable. Will I encounter issues with performance as times goes by? My initial speed test was 920 / 844.
