Static IP configuration

[link to this post]

Hi,

I have just sarted using Hyperoptic and want to probably go with the fixed IP solution as the CGNAT is causing Plex some troubles. If I do this, does the fixed IP detail have to be staticly configured in the router? If using the HyperHub, is this done in a config boot file or would it have to be configured if the router was factory reset?

Also, for IPV6, is there any way of finding out my /64 prefix?

Thanks.
Andrew.

The fixed IP is allocated by DHCP so no changes are needed on your end.

Hi there.

We would be able to provide you with a static IP address and this service comes at a £5/mo additional fee to your current subscription. It's an add-on so it can be enabled/disabled per request, and it won't influence your minimum period.
Depending on the service you're using, you may need to set up a configuration in the router settings and our technical support team would be able to assist you with this if you're using our router.

Please PM us if you need any further help and we'll be eager to assist.
