Newbie - connecting 2 phones to router

[link to this post]

I am about to get Hyperoptic, they are installing in my block this week.
I see that the phone service is VOIP and if I have the ZTE router, it seems there are two phone sockets, see https://www.hyperoptic.com/faq/posts/setting-up-your... for reference.
Does this mean that two phones can be connected to this router? It is a ZTE H298A.
If so, would both phones ring when there is an incoming call? Or would the second phone need a separate telephone number to work?
I am new to VOIP and wondering what is the best way to get 2 or more phones on the Hyperhub via VOIP or similar to replace the analog phones on a BT line.

BTW, I tried searching the manual (on the Hyperoptic website) for "phone" and it is not even mentioned.

I think it's only active on one port, unless something has changed, however unless you want two phones right next to the router, the best option is to connect a DECT base station to the router and then the additional handsets registered to that instead.

I use a Gigaset SIP/DECT base station connected to my own router.

From Hyperoptic site

https://www.hyperoptic.com/help/phone-service/

How many handsets can I use?
You can connect one handset to your router at a time. Connecting more than one handset at the same time can cause the phone signals to collide, meaning neither will work.

you can also install your own little IP phone box - HO CS folks can give you the settings to plug in

that way you can run as many lines as supported by the box ( I use a grandstream 812)
