Now that TalkTalk are offering 900Mb fibre for £21.70 per month including line rental, any chance that Hyperoptic will bring its prices down? (Expected answer:no.)

The problem is there's no competition. Hyperoptic are generally only in developments where you can't get fibre, so no incentive to lower prices. If you are up for renewal, you might be able to negotiate some discounts if you commit to another 12 months.

I would like to see them introduce new packages, maybe a 500meg speed, but they aren't really known for innovating.

The TalkTalk prices won't stay that low for long... and even if they did there would be issues with the service...

If you don't like paying for a fast broadband service then maybe I should divert your attention to this...

Ooo not bad, its free at the moment.... don't worry if its only 2meg and a little flakey at peak times... that obviously not important to you

It's not £47 a month, it's £63 a month. That's nearly three times the TalkTalk price.

If they think they can provide a service at that price, I think that's a legitimate topic for discussion. I was simply asking a question; I don't see the need for people to get so shirty.

My apologies, yes it is £63 with Phone Line still, this is the cost of "simultaneous" gigabit service... if your finding the costs to high I would suggest downgrading!

I'm sorry if you feel I'm getting a bit too "shirty" with my comments but IMO the reason we have such poor broadband availability in this country is due to the funding availability being tiny and again IMO the only reason we have what we have now is due to Government applying for another payday loan so we can compete with Europe!

To be honest I haven't really looked at Hyperoptic much as its not available to me and currently I can't find anyway of finding where it is available so no idea where I could move to get it!

But I looked at there prices and I feel they are quite fair and inline with providers such as Virgin Media and BT!

I've always been of the opinion that it's TalkTalk CS staff who came here on a UFO...
