Well impressed.......so far

I migrated from Virgin on Thursday and I have got to say how impressed I am with the service overall - both from a connection point of view and a service viewpoint.

I have gone from an erratic (at best)/unreliable service to a constant reliable product, pings are now round about 34ms as opposed to 200+ and so far I really like what I see.

I am going to suggest IDNet to friends/colleagues who are currently unhappy with their current ISP.

I hope it continues........................

I have to say though I am slightly concerned about the 30gig cap - i have previously never had to worry about going over my limit; but despite not thinking i was an "heavy" user this is a real possibility.

I wonder if there are any plans to increase this (an extra ten or twenty gig would make a massive difference) as this is the only negative at the moment.

I know other providers have a 40/50 gig cap......is this viable?

if IDnet were to increase the cap then it would mean an increase in price. They are a sensible company with a well thought out financial plan and would not want to go down the route so many others have. The're reputation is built on reliability and stability and that is their main priority.

That's what I was saying, An increase in download allowancw will mean an increase in price. Blame BT's pricing structures for that.

Indeed, I would be happy for something along those lines.

I hope they leave it as it is we don\'t want an influx of leeches coming to IDNet.

The 30GB is set just right IMHO.

I was worried about the 30gb cap and as a heavy gamer i keep a check on the project usage which so far (altho it changes day to day) is about 16gb.

I know running speedtests throught out the day really pushes the usage up (or so it seems). Maybe in the future the will raise the cap but it depends on how much bt drop their prices.
