Re: Preliminary Experience with IDNET

Perhaps it was the Rays that did it back then, Bill?

I have, on a number of occasions, walked into my bank and had all the computer systems go down. I usually sneak out quietly before they notice. I definitely do affect the time-keeping of digital watches, but that's probably down to temperature as much as anything,

OTOH, I used to install and maintain networks for local dentists when the NHS had a big push to computerisation, 10 years or so ago. Usually, when I cast my gaze at the server or workstation, things would spring back into life without me touching anything. I think it's like training a dog, you just have to let computers know who's the pack leader. The number of times that something won't work for Sue, but works the moment I go to the machine suggests that these machines do have a sense of their place in the pecking order!
