Hello Folks
Thinking of migrating to the Home SuperMax package @ £35 pm and i want to know if i can expect to receive max speeds ALL the time assuming there's no congestion at my exchange? For those of you on a BT IP profile of 7150 kbps, could you tell me what speeds you get during the day and at evenings/weekends?
Thanks

I've not seen any congestion through IDNet's network, but then I have a long line, so my speed expectations are limited. That said, I get the full speed for my profile at any time. Your profile is one I would kill for.

The short answer is no-- at least in my experience on the SuperMax product. Speeds do vary despite there being no sign of congestion at my exchange. However, I am still mighty chuffed with SuperMax. There is no obvious difference is daytime/evening or weekday/weekend speeds. Looking over my records for the last 7 days, download speeds range from in excess of 7 mbps to above 6 mbps. From time to time in the 14 months Ive been with IDNet, Ive experienced speeds below 5 mbps, though this is rare. I heartily recommend SuperMax.

I can only get 4MB speed but it stays at that consistently 24/7 I have no exchange congestion. Extremely happy with my Idnet connection.

I get maximum speeds, for my profile, 99.9% of the time. ID Net is totally reliable and, IMHO, the best ISP in the UK. You won't regret signing up with ID Net, that's for sure.

I have had that package for a long time now, and that same profile, I live just over 87 metres from exchange , it shows when I'am online whilst playing cod5 for example, as iam nver at the bottom off scoring, mostly third, also 1st if I'am lucky.

What sort of fish game is that?

Thanks for your help guys. Most of my internet use is in the daytime hours, so maybe IDNet's Home Max is better for me in that its about a tenner less per month than the Homesupermax with both packages having the same download allowance during daytime(30GB). However this is a standard Max product so will not get priority at busy times. Based on the fact that my exchange only serves 5000+ subscribers, does this mean that my exchange is unlikely to be congested at peak times? My exchange details are:

You might still see higher speeds if you subscribe to SuperMax. Like you, I use the Net more in the daytime than in evenings/through the night. My speeds are probably about 0.75 mbps higher than I experienced on Zens £25 package and much more stable. Today, for example, I havent dropped below 7 mbps.

Thanks for that ARD. Sorry one more question: why does this user get speeds of MORE than 7150kbps with IDNET when the maximum IP profile is set at 7150 kbps on an up to 8 meg service? How on earth is this possible??!!
