I've also switched to open DNS.

Hopefully normal service at IDNet will be resumed as soon as possible.

Shifted to OpenDNS and it may just be a coincidence but addresses seem to be resolving faster but more importantly no probs yet compared to the last day or so when they've been far too frequent...

I too have had none of the recently reported problems but I'm not a gamer so pings aren't of interest.

yep me too, noticed an improvement after changing DNS (not OpenDNS) last evening

no further problems seen, but it may be a bit early to say for sure what exactly the problem is. Hopefully IDNet will be able to shed some light on it...

just checked the status page and the whole website appears to be unavailable, returning a 503 error

EDIT... now it's back ok and the status has been updated to show a possible DNS problem

Hi,

Anyone else having problems this evening, especially connecting to UK websites. Google.com works fine, but anything .co.uk fails to load. frown

I had the same problems last night but it seems OK this morning.

We found today that our nameservers were having trouble resolving IPv6 addresses and that this was affecting their IPv4 performance. We have now removed the IPv6 function from our Primary and Secondary nameservers which has restored their stability and has returned their performance to normal.
