Left IDNET in July 08 just recieved an invoice..

..and a credit note for different periods during my time with them. The invoice is for £34.99, the credit note is for £29.99.

Going to have to trapse through old emails and bank statements now to see whats going on my end but I always paid by DD with no problems and cancelled the recurring DD with IDNET after I used the IDNET MAC code and had been given an activation date with Be. There was a shortfall of 5 days between the period the last DD payment covered and the date I was actually activated on Be LLU, IDNET said they would wave that shortfall.

I can't make head nor tail of this atm, just suprised to recieve this kind of stuff considering I left IDNET in July 2008.

Anyone else had similar experience?

The billing system has been 'improved' this morning. Unfortunately, it then generated invoices for periods already paid for by credit or debit card. Once IDNet became aware of the problem, they stopped the mail server to clear the queue, which caused a short outage at around 11am. Since then, there have been some delays to mail due to the volume of enquiries the erroneous invoices have produced.

I had the same too and rang up and nice gentlemen Simon Davies had told me to discard any email invoice billing as it was a system error by mistake.

So, he told me not to worry and just ingorne it. Same goes for you all. Ok. smile

Had the same problem and in fact received some other/marketing emails before despite repeatedly asking them to remove my details from their system.

One of the key principles of Data Protection Act is that "Personal data processed for any purpose or purposes shall not be kept for longer than is necessary for that purpose or those purposes." I am not sure that IDNet is complying with that particular principle.
