Apple mail and idnet.com email problem

I am having problems setting up my idnet.com email address via apple mail.

The instructions on the idnet site give very little insturctions. http://www.idnet.net/support/guides/email/applemail.jsp

I have put mail.idnet.com, pop3.idnet.com and smtp.idnet.com but every time I launch apple mail I get a certificate error stating their is a problem with the mail server.

I have also tried with and without authentication and still no joy.

Can anyone help please?

For sending mail you should use smtp.idnet.com

I am using smtp.idnet.com for sending mail. I am struggling with receiving mail as the instruction doesnt state what server to use. I have tried mail. and pop3. as mentioned in the outlook version.

Also there is no mention of authenticating or not. Can you advise? Also any work around for the apple mail certificate issue?

If you're using SSL with POP3 then the server name is securemail.idnet.com - these server names are listed in the Mail section of our portal when you login to your account.

Thanks for the reply. I changed the mail server from mail.idnet.com to securemail.idnet.com and it seems to have fixed my issue.
